Just been looking at one of these in North East Tackle. Looks like a nice rod for braid. Has anyone got one, to give thier opinion on it.

Hi Chris, Ive just bought the sk3 which is 12-20lb test. I haven't used it yet, but it feels the perfect rod for inshore fishing, but I will also use it on wrecks too, as I feel it will be good for shad fishing with braid for most of the fish I seem to catch. What test is the sk4, I looked at them in ID tackle, but chose the sk3 just on a personal choice.

Hi Arthur, The one i looked at was the 30 - 50, but the tip was really fine, tried it out in the shop and it locked up a treat. I like to see a bend in the rod as opposed to the broom shanks you can get, and this seemed to fit bill. I've always used Ugly Sticks and fancy a change now.

I was impressed with the sonick line up, as you say, they all have nice tip action, so if your doing serious wrecking, I think it would be a good choice. Go for it:cool::cool:

Hi, seems like a cracking rod! My mate bought one to try out in northern norway this summer.
Well impressed with it he was, pirking with up to 500g, also shadding and even spinning!
Coped easy with big cod and coalies, yet still managed to perform with smaller fish, rather than just hauling them up.
Definatly a decent rod for the price.

Hi mate
I have the 12 to 20lb sk3 and use it on the kayak with a Abu 6500 and 30lb braid and love the feel of the setup. Hopefully I will be hauling fish in with it tomorrow, we are out in the morn in kayaks.
