Lol

Lol

Haha every time i think about this i giggle like a girl

Thats all a can do now, just laugh about it, what happend is history, just another funny memory to look back on now. :D :p

Besides looking forward to getting my new Century Eliminator E1000 now, gonna be taking very 'careful' steps onto and off the pier when a get that... ;) :D

Nice one mate let us know how you get on with it.

Can I get some feedback on a 13' AFAW six & bait I am now fancying saving for one of these instead of the Sonic, read and heard too many horror stories of them snapping.

terry wood reelsport made rod up for me for both f/s and m/p and is spot on as is the rod a response at no extra charge which was 275 pound 2 years ago::)

Dont listen to the storys of soniks snapping.. Dogs bollocks

Its very true mate unfortunately... :(

Theres been a hell of a lot of Sonik SK3's snapping, havnt heard of many SK4's doing this and havnt heard of any of the Sonik Continental's doing the same.

The SKS has plenty more flex as its more made for the beginner/rookie angler for there first decent beachcasting rod. Obviously there new out on the market and need proper testing by the majority of anglers who want one and fish with it on a day to day basis, then the true review on the rod can be justified and faults discussed (if any)... :)

The 6 and bait is a top notch rod mate, nice stiff action, will pull the plug out of the sea but they sure cast nice :D Bite detection is superb aswell well worth their price tag.

Unfortunatley i have to second this, the sk3's there have been many problems regarding the last 4" of the tip section. Dont get me wrong lambengland there are some that dont and seem fine it might have been a dodgey batch, it could be anything. But i know of 6 5 sk3's and 1 sk4 that have snapped when casting all 4" from the tip ring.

Nice one thanks mate, I meant to ask Terry about them when in the shop but I forgot, thankfully he showed me a RT axellerator so that's off the list lol too heavy. Thanks for the reply Reg but I think 150 or there about is my budget, I wouldn't hear the last of it off the missus if I spent 200+ on a rod.

Don't tell her, stick it in a nice Shakespeare rod bag. Robert's ya mother's brother.

Secret of many a happy fishermans missus - Ingorance.

If you're saving up Pete, save that little bit more and get yourself a Century. Excellent rods, not many bad reviews about them. Although someone will have a horror story now:)
I've seen them being manufactured as I used to do work for them, pure quality. I have looked at other rods but I always get Century.
Disclaimer; other brands of rod are available:D

I got a Greys GRX-S 13 ft about 2 years age and cannot fault it, its the cheapest of the Greys at about £100 if you shop around, and is not a heavy rod.

Thanks lads, my head is completely wrecked over rods now lol hey Mark I also had a Reelsport VMF sport put in my head that's made on a Century blank apparently. I could just get myself a bamboo type rod would save me all the hassle lol.

I there good rods, nice and stiff.

A wouldnt say there in the same league as Century though, know-where near that type of quality, more the same league as lower range greys, Sonik's, etc.

They come with a really stupid reelseat too, very uncomfortable, and looks silly... :o:D

Overall though, nice looking piece of kit.
