2nd Kev Moffatt, 3lb 6.5 oz. 2 cl, 2 fl.
3rd Paul Roper, 3lb 2.5 oz. 2 wh, 2 fl
4th Steve Haliburton, 1lb 11oz. 2 wh, 1 fl.
5th Nicky Robson. 1lb 7.2 oz. 1 fl, 1 wh.
6th Mick Roper, 1lb 2.9oz, 1 wh.

Nicky, You know North Crab Hill? Is it a wade on wade off mark? As in you only have a certain length of time before behind you becomes to deep to get off... Been looking at it and cant seem to work it out. Just want to get to grips with some of these rock marks :) Any advice you could give? Fished a mark simular at cresswell, but i visited that one in the day... Is it one of those marks you need to learn in daylight before attempting it at night?

Dean.

Soaked & frozen from the waist down mate, my feet still don't feel right lol! After getting the "heaviest fish", a granny about a pound & a half:o:o:o, then getting fast up twice & losing a load of line it was getting to be a joke lol!!! Got to get some proper "waterproof" waterproof trousers - everything under my coat was bone dry so definitely going to get some salopettes the same!! Also need to get some proper waterproof boots....if I'd put my chesties on instead I'd have been fine lol! Good to see you got some fish off the beach, I'd said to Kev it would probably fish over low next tide.

Gary :)

try it in daylight on a big tide so you can get your bearings best with a mate or some one who knows the mark and don,t fish it in abig sea . davy.two hours either side of low water should see you alright .

As Davy has said, go down first during the day & watch how it empties out; if you wade far from "the path" you'll be down some deep holes! Preferably go with someone who knows it, and you'll need your tripod as a wading stick, especially in the dark where it's experience that'll see you on & off safely. Going down by yourself for the first time at night and trying to wade on would be a big mistake! If you wait a while longer it soon empties out & is high & dry for 2 or 3 hours (depending on the size of the tide - on a small tide you won't get long on there at all) - often when I've fished it during the day in the summer you'll get the usual kids & walkers making their way across for a wander around. Most importantly get to know when it's time to get off - look for a landmark rock and as soon as it disappears underwater on the flood, pack up & get off there.

dispointed in you gary never make ahardy krinkley. haha. davy.

Definitely getting krinklier Davy, don't know about hardier though:D

Gary :)

the lads are right either go with someone who knows the mark and shows you the way or go in daylight and watch the tide drop.As a landmark i say the same to everybody who has been on with me there an old wreck that uncovers behind you so as it starts to flood keep checking the wreck as soon as the water is about to cover it get off.

i'm off out again tonight hunting a pig hopefully a little dryer tonight

nope its cheating off there mate going a little further north would of went back to blyth but holding the rod all night again isnt an option my backs killing me lol

Cheers nicky :) I don't know anyone that knows it, so it'll Be a watch the Tide drop for me :) Cheeds David and Gary... I just want to expand how many marks I can fish :)
