Another night session on Cambois for the third week running, unlike two weeks ago when the weather was calm and dry, boy oh boy did it rain last night. Top water was a touch after 01:35 am but seemed to reach its zenith more like around 02:00, a slow start was had by all, despite the first catch first fish 'scenario', for a change we fished at the south end, just under the the unreasonably narrow low bridge, bait was the usual suspects of lug, rag and fresh crab, served by Jimmy at Moonfleet and as ever service and bait from Moonfleet was top notch. To cut a long story short, the rain was the sort that slowly seeps in and gets you wet, it felt more like October than to days shy of June, as the cold set in I lost feeling to my feet and buttocks and this only returned on the journey home when the car heater was on full 'tonk'. I manged to wrangle out eight fish, one Rockling, one Coley and six 'flatties' of various size. (all were returned to fight again), Sean my brother i law had four 'flaties' and my mate Sharpie, one (another flatie). A good night was had by all, a little tired as I type this as I did not get to my bed until 05:00 but hey ho thats fishing. Most fish were caught just after the turn of top water until about an hour down. Most were caught on rag

Flatties are pretty much all you are going to get in these flat seas so you've done alright there mate. You must be keen out in the rain all night, but at least you didn't have a 320 mile round trip for one fish like me yesterday lol.

Keen, well my wife would say obsessed, my earliest memory involves fishing at the age of five, and I'm fifty now:D

Well done for fishing in all that rain, it was relentless!

by the end of the session l had forgot about the rain, it was that wet or rather l was that wet l could not get any damper, the bonus of a few fish just after top water, distracted me from the rain:D
