south sheilds or roker?

Just after a bit of advice please. I am taking a mate tommorow spinning for makeral. hes never fished before and wondered what pier people would recomend roker or south sheilds?. and whats the best mark on either pier to give him a chance of catching a fish?. also what time is high tide tommorow?

Next to the blocks on Shields pier, high tide is about 3.30.

As you're walking towards the end of the pier on the right hand side about 50 yards from end, look over the wall you can't miss it mate.

Mate of mine was down Roker from 8.00pm last nite until 9.00am this morning him and his dad and brother caught 85 mackeral between them and they started catching at 5.00am this morning (low tide !).And dont give me any grief about taking all those mackeral please,I wasnt there and he does actually supply a Chinese restaurant when he does catch that amount.
