south shield spier 26/10/08

i fished south shields pier today from 11 ish till 6.30, when i first got to the end the westoe lads were having a match and they only had a couple of fish between about ten of them. anyway i got set up using two rods but only rag and macky for bait cos billy's didnt have any lug. the fishing was very slow today, couldn't even see any bites cos of the wind and mr seal showed his face all i caught was 4 whiting a flounder and a dab and i lost a flatty lifting it up the side. i only saw one codling come in and a lad next to me had a pollock about 2lb

either the first gate or the end, if you look at the fishing mark section on here there's a canny bit info on shields pier.

Well done - some nice photies there.

I had some runny down given to me by a lad on the beach last week. Gutted and frozen now in my fridge. 8 worms to be used with squid.
