Hi all.

16 members fished today in nice conditions. The top rods were as follows:

1st - B. Buckham, 3 fish, 2lb 5ozs

2nd - R. Lees, 1 fish, 12ozs

Heaviest Fish: B. Buckham, 1lb 6oz
Heaviest Bag: B. Buckham, 2lb 5oz

Well done to all who fished.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: There were a lot more fish that could have been weighed in and heavier fish as well as heavier bags of fish too, but due to an occurrence which I will not go into detail on, those fish were not counted in the match and therefor not valid catches. Was good fishing still.

Grown men with tears in their eyes screaming "you cant weigh them fish in"laughable.
Apparently the pier watchman told anglers on the end that the gates would be locked at 6pm which was the finishing time of the comp,we have a rule which states you cannot climb round locked gates which non of the anglers did because the watchman was standing at the OPEN GATE,allegedly he had to open the gate to let us off.not everyone was on the end of the pier so didnt know this was the case, these anglers walked past fellow club members and said nothing, class.
Yet another shields club fiasco

I was going to ask this question prior to reading this thread and don't want to be seen as stirring the brown stuff so could someone from the club confirm that the open will be on the 3rd November please. Just so i can get permission from the wife as i need at least a months notice to fish these days!

joe mate the pier was open and the pier watchman said he was keeping it open until we finished match other wise me big andy geordie simon phil and stevie would have left and billy was there when pier watchman said it

Rules rules rules! The way i see it it should be a case of not bothered where you catch it as long as it ain't the fish quay or Blue Reef Aquarium!
