South Shields & District SAC - Monthly League, 7th July 2013

Hi all.

Only 4 members turned out to fish today in the lovely weather, but it proved a tough match given the conditions, with only 2 members returning to the scales with fish. The top rods were:

1st - B. Buckham, 2 fish (mackerel), 1lb 12ozs

2nd - M. Robson, 2 fish (plaice), 1lb 6ozs

3rd - M. Jewitt, 1 fish (mackerel), 13ozs

Heaviest Fish: B. Buckham, 14oz, Mackerel
Heaviest Bag: B. Buckham, 1lb 12ozs, Mackerel


Well done to those who fished today (and probably got a cracking sun tan ), and well done to those who weighed in.

Apparently there was more turned out for the match but some wanted just to bait fish, whereas in the club mackerel are allowed to be weighed in, so only 4 fished the main match, apparently the rest held their own little match, they only had 2 little undersized fish.

Kinda wish I'd fished it now. Could have just did some spinning and maybe win with 4 mackerel haha, but was busy. Was great weather for it though
