south shields marks to learn on?

New to NESA so hi yawl and new to shore fishing. Two of us got tackled up with spinning and beach casting gear recently so now need to find the right marks.

Any pointers on quiet areas where we can make a start without getting under the feet of the vets would be good.

If you see us out n about say hi we don't bite. You cant miss us coz I'm a six foot spam head with a 6" dint on my head and my fishing partner is a skinny lass with boggly eyeballs that wouldn't be out of place on a popped wrasse

Welcome lods marks south and north ssp is good at Mark 44 pritty snag free if you can cast 50 yards pluss and the hall in the wall pm if you need out and you'd r welcome to come out wen am out if you's lyk sho you's a bit what av bean told off lads off ya happy fishing

have yourself a shot on the pier the pier isnt as snaggy as people suggest its all a learning curve

Welcome to nesa m8 and there are plenty of marks along the Tyne if you know the areas along it so good luck to you and your m8.

Any advice on detailed marks up the tyne would be good as would info regards how far up you can fish without permits

Welcome to NESA, have a look at Sea fishing Sea Angling Resource click the north east on the left hand side, there is a sticky about the seventh down. Its a great wright up on South Sheilds pier marks by Medlar.

That's the Groyne mate and it's very snaggy around there. If I was you I would fish the Tyne with your beachcaster and some bait. Try the wooden platform known as Cobles Landings along from the ferry landing or the ends of the old Brighams dry dock a bit further along. You never get snagged at those. If you want to use your spinning rod try the pier between the blocks and the end.

Only wish I'd seen your post coz I fished the pinky last night to try out the tackle and learnt the hard way Thanks for the heads up on the other venues I'll b looking at em reel soon m8. You guys were probably amongst the thirty or so on the pier looking over to the pinky thing thinking....(what a $2*t or summit else not repeatable).... and rightly so me thinks although it was good lead chucking practice without kiling anyone!
