Things were still bery slow by dinner time. Me mate decides to try the small wall and bang straight into a nice coalie around 2-2.5lb

2nd chuck on the small wall produced another crackin coalie little bit smaller but still a good fish. Then things went very slow again. I still havnt caught out yet , i moved to the south east corner and took an undersize whitey my mate makes his 3rd cast and took an undersize codling. Few more lads turned up after that and only the odd fish here and there packed up at 6 and headed home so my blank was saved by a lonely whitey

I its a reet bugger having to cut line off your reel. Done it a few weeks back when pleasure fishing on shields pier on a sunday. Just filled my 7HT Mag up with brand new 20lb F1, first practice cast, fine, lead flew way out, second chuck, snap, and my reel had massive coils of line sticking out a foot high, like yours in the picture, only worse and bigger :o :D. Had to cut all me line off down to the backing line as there was just no undoing the massive tangle i had miraculously created on my reel! Luckily haf plenty spare to refill the reel at home :p.

One thing is al be knowhere near the end of the pier this sunday, gonna stick it out further down for a big bag of coalies/flatties/whitings... whatever takes me bait and is legible and sizeable :D. That southeast corner has become really really snaggy all of a sudden, was a nightmare in me last match, probably lost 3 maybe 4 sets of gear and lots of line off two reels. Think we need to hire that dredger to clear all the snags oot of there (and get a load of leads back too! ;))

Aye a noticed that about the southeast corner like was very snaggy today aswell also the brass ball on the flood was absolutly terrible

Still though nice to just get out
