well got down for 4.30am day started great a fish a cast a few sized cod just over the lb mark then as the tide turned and started making its way out coalies came on and the cod just disapeered picked up a few coalies most undersize by 10am just odd coalie coming in and odd undersize cod fish where taken on crab and my other trace had lug tipped with rag fished till 4pm then off home for tea not a bad day mark one of my mates said he was on johnsons rock mark up by marsden said his mate rich had a 4lb 8oz cod no prof just his word as never seen fish

just been down the pier myself tonight with my dad for a few hours got there at half 7 fishing the tide out off the brass ball had a fish a cast for about 2 hours then just small stuff and a few sized stuff, came home with 9 codling between us got home and weighed the bag it was 10lb 3oz and that was with all the fish gutted, thought i had a decent fish but i got 2 codling on my pulley pennel rig both getting on for the 2lb mark i would say put up a nice fight. was no one else down tonight neither just a couple lads fishing the 44 that had small stuff dont know if they got out when the dark kicked in though. was a good night out fish n chips for tea tomorrow

good fishing. a few lads fished further down the coast only small coalies and saltburn and the south gare still catching makkie. never heard ov any codling caught very bright day
