south shields pier 17/9/11 another canny night in the end

went down for 6pm off the end not a bite so by 11pm had enough one more cast off small wall then with one hell of a rattle pulled in my first cod 1lb1/2 so thought l would have an other cast and yet another cod about the same stamp l fished till 4am had 7 codling to take home heavest was 2lb there was a couple of young lads who stuck it out till 4am as l walked of with them young ross had the heavest fish a cod just under 3lb his PB he was useing frozen blacks tipped with fresh crab l was useing fresh crab rig was good old pully rig and young ross was useing a pully rig his mate only had a sized coalie so glad l did'nt go home at 11pm

your doing canny this year jim,gonna try and get back fishing myself gonna buy myself a decent rod thinking ttr or kompressor ss.hopefully see you on pier soon as long as this back holds out.
