SOUTH SHIELDS PIER 21 oct first light

well hit the pier for 5.30am started off fishing south east corner not a sniff so move round to the middle nothing biting so decided to hit the smal wall even though the tide was ripping in. low and behold first cast a canny yting back out agian and strait in to my first cod then my m8 steve moved over and casted out bang in to a cod l managed 2 sized cod and a canny yting steve had 4 coddling out but as soon as the tide slacken off that was it stuck it out 1.30pm nothing pretty bad there was a few anglers on but nothing happening my biggest was 2lb steve's biggest was around 2lb1/2

oh happy days l was singing when l pulled in my first cod another one bites the dust LOL the lads said there was nothing on saturday small dabs and yty's

Jim, have you thought of contacting Port of Tyne and asking if you can move a bed and a camping stove into the lighthouse at the end of the pier? It would save you a load of walking...

Well done on the coddies, you must be getting near the 50 mark for the season already and the clocks haven't even gone back yet...

if it was'nt for wor lass and the kids l would LOL its handy living next to the pier and walkway. mind you its good when you have a lass like mine as long as she is not doing nowt l can go fishing l warned her before we move in together you might wake up at 3 in the morning and find im gone but dont worry its not another woman ill be fishing always lay the law down first that way it wont come back and bite you on the bum im now at my 20th cod only 30 to go
