Arrived in the pier just before high water and it was fish from the off or knocks almost everyone had fish at the end i managed to get straight on the SE corner which is exactly where i wanted to be
1st chuck i had a codling and 38cm great theres codling there like i said plenty fish kicking about just never coming to anything after a pull down.
My dad just testing out his new gear just couldnt connect to anything that pupped at his bait poor sod haha i dont mind ive got a codling anyway
Few more chucks later i managed to whip out a whitey at 38 cm although still skinny. Things from now had started to slow down with only the odd whitey and cofling coming over the wall, untill i get a small pull then a deep hard pull and into a very nice fish which didnt want to be winched up from the depths and put a lovely bend in my rod me dad jumps on the wall to handball up when he shouts its only a flatty man !!! Aye right over the rail came a very nice SPOTTED RAY !!! Get in i was over the moon it weighed around 2.5-3lb. That was the last fish of the evening and we made treks at 1:45am. Baits were lug fresh crab and mussell
