Like the title says, its a very late report. Had to register and wait for that to be approved. Anyway, fished South Shields pier on the 5th. Fished from high to low water, cracking day once the wind died down. Got a half decent flatty on my rod at distance (as far as I can cast anyway!) and my first wrasse 
on the light rod just over the side of the pier. I was set up about 200m up from the toilet block. Both were caught on rag and both went back to be caught another day. I've got pics but there on my phone (which is worse than useless), just trying to get them uploaded.
