South Shields Pier Closed for 3 weeks from Monday 3rd Oct

I was on the pier this morning and the Warden said the pier will be closed to everyone including anglers from tomorrow for three weeks while they shot blast and repaint the railings. He was not sure if it was just weekdays or if it was weekends too but asked me to tell everyone I know who goes fishing , hence this post. I presume he means during daytime so night sessions may still be ok?

Well that still not gonna stop me fishing it during club matches and pleasure sessions. They did the same job a while ago on the pier and that didnt stop us fishing, and the workmen were more than happy to let us fish as long as we did not disturb the job they are doing .
