HI lads and lasses the pier watchman wants to inform all anglers and clubs that from sunday the 22nd of September the new opening times for south shields pier will be from 07.30 and closing at 17.15. good luck and tight lines. bill.

Just spoke to the pier watchman and he has informed me that from today and for the next 7 months the pier gate will be shut at 5pm.
