Was down Tuesday night after the sea dropped had 3 whities a dab and tommy codling. Me mate lambEngland manager a codling 2lb. Another lad had a codling about 3lb n half, and another lad had a codling 2lb 7oz from the rail end. was about half dozen rods on the end and thats all I seen caught from 4pm to 10pm.
Me old man's been down this afternoon\night using some bait off and had 1 whiting.
In a nut shell its pretty poor this week. But tomorrows another day and always the chance of a good double between now and mid march if your fishing off the end.
The pier has been fishing very patchy all winter. odd codling but mainly whiting ( not in great numbers) season is dropping off " if it ever got started "
still always the chance of a big one deep sea john
Same as these lads fished it today (Sunday) from 7 till 11 caught a couple of rock fish one carrier bag fish and a wellytop fish shame I never actually caught any real fish, seamed the same with most others on the pier tonight! Apart from a couple on the end that caught a 2/3 pound tommy earlier on the south east.
