South Shields S.A.C - Monthly League comp, 15/01/2012

Hi all.

This is a quick report as I was in a hurry... for me curry last nite!

Down to business. 11 anglers fished in mild (if not cold) conditions, with virtually no wind. 10 weighed in. The top 3 rods were:-

1st - Steve Gordon, 27 fish, 19lb 7ozs

2nd - Robert Lees, 20 fish, 19lb 3ozs

3rd - Paul Mclntyre, 18 fish, 16lb 2ozs

Heaviest Fish: Marc Wilkinson, 1lb 13oz Dogfish
Heaviest Bag: Steve Gordon, 19lb 7ozs, whitings, dabs, coalie


Well done everyone who fished and to all who weighed in, another good amount of fish weighed in again, keep it up lads!!!

You must have climbed around barrier. We fished the Walkway in Police comp last night. I could see the headlights on end of pier.
Some canny size bags from your club.

I a wasnt fishing... Most fish, the top 3 weights and heaviest fish came from the pier.

I was down the bottom in front of the brigade hut having some casting with me new rod. Was talking to me mate Paul Wastell (cod Commando), who fished where I was, he was fishing the police match too.

They did, including the dogfish . Again no coddies though, none at all this time...

Think that 19lb'der must have scared all the cods off in the area.

Cheers for the cuppa andy warmed me up lol..nice to see the Century in action, nice rod as well mate keeping it warm for the cod.

A place pretty close where i know you can get them is kirkcudbright, using mackerel baits they are like rats over on that coast

I it was mate, cannit wait for Saturday now so me rod can be tested fully.

I that cuppa kept u going. A would've done more casting if a had of brought me headlamp, couldnt see what the hell a was doin when you's came doon it was that dark...
