tried the groyne tonight and lost tackle most casts, not even a bite. not sure but i think i seen a bass go for me bait on one of the only times i managed to get me gear back.
and to top off the blank, it took 5 hrs to get the 25 mile or so home:0(
AND i was too warm with me new thermals to try out me new petrol handwarmer

strangely for once there is nowt here. went to seaham to do a recce and it was hail stoning there, got some bait at Rhyope and just run up the coast looking for somewhere. roker was shut and the groyne looked my best bet south of the river.
set off for home at 6, nothing until bensham then ffs.tailbacks to team valley round about a car on the left broken down, a car on the right broken down. got up lobley and they shut the road off so had to turn round and go thru whickam. on the plus side i got to see a space cadet throw his feet into orbit outside the bensham jockey before cursing and holding his chopping muscle/rusty bullet hole. haha
