South Shields.

Had a club comp last night lads 6pm till 10 pm at South Shields. A few of us opted for the beach on the Haven but after hour and half with just one small codling to show me and my mate had a walk around to the Walkway. Bit windy and cold but tide not to big so out went our three hook flappers with mainly ragworm bait on. We both had a codling each my mates at 45 cm got him biggest fish prize and I had a keeper at 43 cm . We also caught a few other smaller fish. Kept alternating rigs using pulley with big bluey and black lug baits hoping for a big fish but no luck.

Aye Mick it was a bit of a struggle alright, 3 for myself from the little beach at Haven after nowt on the cliffs. Hopefully it'll be a bit better at Sunderland later in the month, then it's the regionals down at Seaham. Charlie
