Fished a club match last night and one of the highlights of the night was having a heart wrenching thump on the rod and then being rewarded with one of these

It was only half a pound but it's already got me hooked on them - took mental note of the subtle nuances of the situation for the next trip...if conditions are slightly more favourable I may be able to eke a few more (size?) out...at least that's the theory

T'was a sandy beach in North East Northumbria is all I'm prepared to say on that level ;)

welldone mate nice bass ive just noticed if ya squint ya eyes ya can see the picture ya have drew in the sand of a person :)

Well done-i have to say they give the best bite of any fish i have caught. And they fight like hell. Watch out for the spikes my last one got me in my right hand drawing blood.

Mick.

Congrats on the bass. I like what you done with second picture. With a bit divine intervention I might be able to work out your catch location.
Well done.

Nice Bass mate,I got a pound one off Blyth beach on Saturday tea time,my rod was bouncing all over, good little fighters for there size, caught mine on squid.

Nice one Wallso!:D, Its good to land a Bass, and like you I beached 2 last nite on my local beach:D, its a long beach but!!!;), mine where 300cm, cracking bites m8, also got 2 coalies an 2 flatties( 1 aprox 300cm), no keepers but good sport:cool:

300cm? Put a canny bend in your rod that like.:)

Anyway, well done on your Bass lads, they do give a good account of themselves don't they. Best I've managed so far is 3lbs, but it was on a lure, on braid. I can't tell you how good that felt.

Awesome fish, by far my favourite. Look good, and fight well.

Aye ya rite 300cm would put a canny bend on a rod:rolleyes:, sorry I ment 30cm( or 12ins),:D, but they still give a good rattle m8!, anyway both where safely returned, and they go like a bullet back to safety:):):)

Nice one mate. They're addictive fish to catch, hopefully we'll keep seeing rises in the numbers on our coast.
