Hey all. I've not been around much for a while. Was off work for a fortnight the last couple of weeks, popped down Blyth pier for some mackeral one morning and had a couple of short sessions from the shore at Sluice. That's probably the most fishing I've done this year!

Been spending most of my "hobby" time these days on my tarantulas, bunch of photo's below:

Got forty odd of them now, ranging from tiny spiderlings the size of money spiders upto a few over 6", some of the bigger ones are still growing :D Some are pretty docile, but also got a lot of African and Indian species that certainly aren't and pack a wicked venom so they're enjoyed from the other side of their housing!

They're a pain to photograph Keith, some of them a blink-of-the-eye fast and leaving the camera on auto doesn't pick them up that well.

Been dropping into the site regular when I've had time, fishing's been just as and when I've not had other things to do so it's right down the list at the moment. I've knocked up a load of sinkers for the winter in the hope of getting some regular sessions in though.

Betta u than me a gess
Ahh you never know, benefits of having the chat section here is there's usually someone else who has the same hobby as you or might be interested in getting into it, handy then if someones around to share experiences :)

It's a funny and strange thing, but among people who keep tarantula's there's a heck of a lot of them who are scared to death of house spiders and yet will keep big and sometimes pretty nasty tarantula's quite happily!

Nice pics, you certainly wouldn't want anyone a bit clumsy knocking those displays / tanks over :o imagine trying to sleep in a house with one or more of them crawling about :D

I am a bit nervous of house spiders, more so after reading this story.Slayer Guitarist's Spider Bite Recovery Continues | News @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com
