Ive just ordered a 40g spinner mould.After the spinners are made whats the best clear enamel to use so they keep there coulour???

not sure what its like but maybe have a look at the emamel they use in the model shops as i think some of these guys build their own ships then sail them in comps so it must have to keep the colour really well if they spending hundreds of pounds as you wouldnt want it to fade if it cost so much.

i just use self adhesive aluminium tape on mine works a treat, they need retaping after each session but that only takes a minute, quick, easy and effective. to be honest you always feel more confident if they are shiney but it makes no difference to your catch rate, tried just leaving them dull lead colour, tried them painted all different colours (including black) and had just as many fish on all of them !!!
 
Instead of messing about with paint,get some alluminium tape(£6 a roll in B&Q).
It sticks well and is quite shiny.If it gets damaged when fishing just re-cover with another layer or if it dulls just rub with a cloth. One roll will do about 100 spinners....

silver doesnt always work its best to have a few different colours i just laccer mine a few times but its pointless realy no laccer r enamel will stay on when the spinner hits off the rocks etc
