Welcome to NESA mate :)

Where you planning on fishing from?

Any of the piers at this time of year will be showing mackerel, South Shields is showing nice Pollack...not heard too much from the Mackems so can't comment

What kind of info you after?

:)

I'd get yourself a few float kits it you fancy a change mate, set it up with a small hook on the bottom and 1 rag worm, lob it close in to the sides or rocks for Wrasse or a bit futer out for Pollock and coaly. i find it much more productive than spinning.

I've got to say that float fishing has to be my favourite as far as shore or pier fishing goes ,what a buzz when that float goes under .

Possibly +1 for the float. Always something ive been wanting to try. Good for makerel off north shields fish quay(sp) when theyre in apparently!!!

Love to give it a go sometime !
