Spinning rod and reel recommendations please.

Morning everyone.

I'm wanting to get my first spinning rod and reel for the summer coming up. What would you suggest I look at? I don't want to spend a fortune. About 50-60 quid all in if its possible.

try clas holsen got some reasnable priced combos in
I have the 9 foot gravia three piece and its a canny little rod, you can also use it for flaties etc with a 2 oz lead

ron thompson tyrant i had pike to 6lb + and its handdled them no bother .... north east tackle have them for £35 best £35 ive spent

Have a look here they have some good deals on at times. Got a 10ft 3piece sonik sk3 spinning rod from here it came with a free mitchell reel, haven't used the reel yet but the rod is spot on had salmon up to 17lb on it

If you want a good cheap spinning reel give me a shout and i will sort you out a nice one.

I bought a Rovex spinning reel from Billy's in north shields 3 year ago for £15, it has got to be the best £15 of anybodies money. tried 3 or 4 others in the last 2 - 3 years some at twice the price but they dont come close to the Rovex.

Thanks for the suggestions lads. Ill have a look at them this week. I ordered a Shakespeare rod and reel off eBay but the lad has sent the wrong parcel and is mucking me about sorting it. I got 6 blue rod tubes instead.
