They tell you what suits them if you gave henry a 3 foot rod paid him & gave him loads of freebies.Bet you a pound to a penny that would suddenly be the dogs & written about allover use what suits you & the sort of lure fishing you are doing soft rods suit some stiffish rods others its down to you in the end

I use a 8ft Savagear Bushwacker XLNT 10 - 40gms. Light, strong and very responsive.
I just got the same rod earlier this year after the car door made a mess of my previous plugging rod. Car door actually did me a favour as these bushwackers are a cracking bit of kit.

av got 2 12ft spinning rods a afaw 60/90g n a shiamano beastmaster which both r exellent but for plugging am going 2 get 1ov them red dragons which henrey gilbert uses around 8/9ft which will give u more control ov the plug most bass hit the lure at the last minute so a big rod will take the lure up 2 soon

conoflex assassin = best spinning rod on the market, nothing comes even close and i've tried dozens of alternatives over the years. think they're around £130 ish now.

i use a shimano beastmaster stc 14-40g 8/9 version and it does the job just fine. i've used it all over including abroard and the rocks and it does everything i ask of it and sum. personally i dont see the point in spending top end beachcaster money on a spinning rod unless your going to make it your main type of fishing because there are plenty of very good spinning rods out there at a third of the price or less of them tenryu things.
hope this helps mate ;)

£12 Ron Thomson 8' superior spin..had it 5 years and can flick a lure further than most with probably the cheapest rod, it has a great action for playing even the smallest fish, as already said...no need to spend big bucks unless lure fishing is your number one sport ;)

For pluggin you really want a fast light rod casting around 15-50g range and the bushwhacker is about the best for the price, most spinning rods will be to soft for working lures properly

veal have a good selection of plugging rods

I currently use the original bushy 8'6 15-50g but when a have the spare cash will be purchasing the teklon concept spin, its meant to be an unbelivable rod for the money;)

Gallon you are just a tackle tart lol plus ah dont think me lass would be over happy with bambino number 2 on the way but the colour is very nice ;)
