Spinning Suprise !

Had a spinning session yesterday hoping for a big Pollock,hit into afew coalies around the pound mark then bang thought id pulled into a my 1st decent Pollock of the season but to my suprise it was a Codling of 2lb then again afew hours later an even bigger one at 2lb 8oz all took the spinner which i couldnt beleive !!

Tried allsorts but only had luck with the standard silver spinner,was up at Craster.

Well you take cod on pirks etc on the boats so if they are around closer in then no reason they wont hit a spinner if its deep enough in the water column! Nice one

Had codling to 5lb on spinners the biggest was down the side at Newton. Good fun on light gear, well done mate.

Was up sundry castle last week had only small coalies on the spinner then switched to the float using sandeel still a few small coalies then I got a codling around 3 1/2lb brilliant sport on light gear

well lovely catch. My mate got a 4lb cod using shads from the side in Norway. he was using my 10 quid Aldi telescopic rod and he still got it in.
