Spinning

Am not sure about that make scotty but I cant see why not,
I bought a Berkeley B4 carp rod last year for spinning and it's great think it's got a 3lb test curve.
Seen a few lads using carp rods, great for Flickn lures our a decent distance

carp rods will do the job in faxct i have a 3lb test one i use as a long rod for heavy spinning and bigger fish.

but they arnt meant to be held all the time. they are designed to rest in pods until a fish turns up so are tip heavy compared to good spinning rods.

if your going to be spinning or using lures for a whole session then a good quality ... balanced .. spinning will be a lot nicer to use.

but if a carp rod is all you have ........ it will get you fishing.

good question i have 2x diawa black widow carp rods to differnt test curve. and was thinking wud they be anygood for light sea fishing as there carbon fibre. caught a cuple of decent carp on them to so id imaginge they,d handle sea fish too

I got a spinning rod for 20 quid last year Scotty, my son snapped my spin rod so needed a quick cheap replacement. I got a shakespeare alpha X 10' rod 30-90gram at reelsport, I think its an alright rod though no good for lighter lures.
