Squid in summer?

Anyone think that squid is worth a go from the rocks in summer or is it more of a winter bait?

I've stayed away from squid but bought a box a few months back and stuck it in the freezer.

Cheers lads

Use the squid as a bait parcel bud... Stuff your crab etc into squid bind it with elastic to the hook stab a few times so juice flows through the slits. Quite messy but does work 👍

I know it's a different theme, but squid caught loads n I mean loads of cod in the winter dwn here, norm it's worm or worm n squid cocktail but straight squid caught a lot of fish this winter both on the beach n the river(humber).
Recently there's been plenty of hounds to straight squid too and some very big ray's(well into doubles)but crab n squid cocktail also catches it's fair share.Squid is a very good bait imo, often underated but very sucessfull..

Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow and report back. I've got some crabs legs so I reckon they'll be alright stuffed onto a squid head

better to have it than not, i've caught a lot from squid in the summer. Good bass bait too.

As mentioned previous, use ya squid as a parcel and stuff it full of blacks/crab/mussel/ whatever !
