Had a decent little session on the pier tonight with damien (dog runner). I ended up with 20 fish. 2 sized flounders, a sized coalie and the rest were small codling, dabs and coalies apart from the one sized codling 50cm. Didn't have scales but it was a good 2 1/2 lb if not a bit more. Damien got a few coalies, codling and dabs out aswel.

Cheers lads. That's 2 sized codling in my last 2 sessions. I struggled more in the winter lol

I can vouch for the quality of the fish, a lovely clean run cody caught on top quality bait. just glad I didn't have to try and hand ball it up the wall for you mate, knowing my luck I'd have bumped it off.

Hopefully I will provide better competition in the fishing stakes next week!

You nearly did have to handball it up as wasn't sure the j curve would handle reeling it up but to its credit it handled it well although pulling it through the rocks and kelp showing in front of us didn't help he cause. I'm sure you'll kick my butt one day Damo I might just be luckier than you lol. Cheers guy, hope you enjoyed the gig as you missed a canny little session

nice one lads me and davey m had small stuff apert from my plaice l caught thrre was 3 coddling taken off the end 1lb1/2 to 2lb1/2 we stuck it out till 2,30pm wind and rain

A plaice was my target fish mate until it got dark then knew I'd missed my chance but the codling was a bonus
