Windy! Rain held off though. Got to the end about 7 after bumping into Davey m and Nrgjim on the river side of the 40s. Set up alongside a young chap struggling with the cold who.edu getting Tommies n Coalies close in. Sun started to go down and thought id take a snap to share. This isn't enhanced in any way. Hadn't clipped a rig on if you're wondering why my shock leader is as curly as last weeks spring onions

About 9ish Jim n Davey gave to catching Tiddlers n headed up top, which was handy cos my rag n cuttlefish combo was just too irresistible for this little fella, n Jim did the honours pulling it up the wall

3lb dead on again when I got it home for it's undressing.

Neatest filleting job I've ever done, but it still astounds me that half the weight goes in the bin. I'm not kidding, I could see through the skeleton, it was like something out of a cartoon, just bones, head n guts but there was only a 1lb n a half left.

Only 2 bites all night, a Tommy n tomorrows tea.

Cheers lads. The bites we're very few and far between.
Bout an hour after that one my lead started dragging and bouncing again,so i tightened up, struck, felt a sluggish nod or two, then a dead weight similar to the first. Here we go, i said, got summit here!....got it to the side and with my drag slipping, Jim handballed it up .....

...effing carrier bag wasn't it! Not a pb, but it put up quite a fight anyway, catching the full ebb from the tyne, so I was still quite chuffed with me sel.

hello m8 it was a canny night nice see that cod and the placker bag thought you had a piggy on at first me and davy fished till 3.30am im having an early night tonight im nack't in

Canny Codling for your efforts. Half its weight in Fillets is good imo. I usually count on 2/3 waste by the time they are Filleted & skinned. Well done.
