Headed down the pier at 05:30 this morning hoping to grab a few mackerel for the winter. 4 other lads down already... Two fellas with a 24 pack of fosters and two dogs plus what I assume was a father and son duo. Typically the lads with the lager were catching maccy, throwing them Onto the pier and letting the dogs eat the odd one... No wonder maccy badgers get a bad name!! Wind was a proper pain so had to skip the lure fishing in large... Still managed a few maccy anyway. Plenty of coalie and launce about too. Nice sunny morning but damn windy!

I see you found my report lol :D

Hopefully it will die away before these predicted thunder storms hit end of the week... Half a dozen maccy fillets won't last me long in the winter lol

You had better luck there today than me mate, snapped the tip off my rod.:( The lead was snagged at the bottom of the wall, I pulled on it and when the lead came loose it shot up and smashed through the tip of the rod taking about 5 inches off the top. Gutted isn't the word.
