Not only Roker pier the mindless plebs have struck at South Shields aswell.
The rubbish bins on the end of the pier have been burnt to ashes.
Why, what is the point, a totally mindless act.
Unfortunately, as usual, all anglers are getting tarred with the same brush.
These mindless idiots are not anglers or decent people, but they will get fishing stopped for all.
Its time decent anglers need to strike back and let these idiots know such behaviour will not be tolerated. If see anyone or know of anyone tell them to stop and report them to the police or Port of Tyne.

I was also told by the pier watchman that the life belts had been thrown into the sea, that is unforgivable.
They were back in place when I was down.

Who ever did this are scum of the earth.bad enough burning the litter bins but to throw life buoys into the water is mindless.they are they to save peoples lives.lets hope the morons who threw them in need them one day and they arnt there.happy days eh.i no its more expense for councils but i think its about time both roker and shields pier got cctv installed on lighthouses and get these parasites who are causing damage on camera n police n council getting banning orders served on them to keep them off piers n also hit them hard in the pocket with big fines.end of the day something has to be done about it as its going to end were the piers are going to closed.lets get rid of these ********s once and for all.

Hi.If any body confronts these morons they just might be putting themselves in harms way. So we've all got mobiles with cameras. If something wrong is happening.You just might be taking a photograph of say a catch or a mate any thing. Get my drift

Unfortunately these creatures live among us & I meet their ilk every day in my job. There's not much hope for them as they have no respect either for their surroundings or quite often, themselves. They simply don't give a toss about anything & can be classed as 'nothings, going nowhere' (doesn't help our cause though)
The plebs won't be reading this either unfortunately.
