thinking of fishing this mark on friday but have never fished this mark before, any advice on marks, tactics would be greatly appreciated, thanks

There are various mark there that ive fished myself, but your best bet is to explore the area and find marks that u can access and look the business:D

theres a rock left of the lighthouse where you park (crocs rock ) walk back on ya self north theres a path down but be carefull of loose stones etc find a flat enough spot on the rock but my advice is if it rains get off soon as ya can has it gets very slippy on the feet ,try using float set ups for wrasse coalfish pollock and ya do get cod too ,lure spinning ,bottom fishing also ragworm and crab baits are best

Hello,

Probably the best advice I can give is to be carefull, in fact I would give it a miss with the weather forecast for this thursday/friday, we are forecast north/north easterly winds and a canny swell. St. Abbs is a dangerous place with a sea running and wet rocks.

I find that St.Abbs fishes far better in flat and settled conditions anyway so probably best to wait till another day then you can enjoy a great time with Pollack, Codling, Coalies, Wrasse and Mackerel providing good fun.

Regards Ian

would advise elsewhere if i were you, forecast is for strong northeasterly then northerly winds and its a dangerous place to be in those conditions, check out the st vedas webcam before you go and that will give you an idea of the sea state. Lovely place in the right conditions though.
