think it would of been best fishing with a partner?whats with the 2lb line.alot safer 12lb threw,save you having to go to waters edge.thanks for sharing,just didint seem safe fishing on your todd.saying that I do it all the time.

The light line is more sporting mate, that's the only reason.

Cheers for the comments lads and sorry for the delay, i've been away with work and then down to wales fishing (video of the wales trip coming soon).

Gary, it was 12lb braid and leader mate, i'd forgotten my normal 15lb flouro so only had 12 me bag. Suppose the 3lb drop in leader weight doesn't make that much difference:)

I totally agree Reg, we shouldn't really go to these places by ourselves and i don't recommend it to anyone. in my case though i'm a qualified climbing instructor with 15 years experience so i'm know my limitations but i am going to get a landing net to make going by my self safer. Besides i wouldn't get as much fishing done if i didn't go by my self from time to time :)
