Is there any wrasse off St Marys, and if so could someone give me some hints on how to catch one or maybe two.
To be honest if anyone has a good mark that would fish the low tide tonight I would be happy to hear about It.

I\'ve seen Ballan wrasse mentioned in catch reports quite often from St Mary\'s, dunno what sort of numbers are taken from there though, nor the spots they\'re taken from...

Caught a lot of wrasse on the Isle of Wight one time on holiday, they were happily taking pretty much anything you threw at them, heard limpet can be fairly effective aswell as the usual worms etc. Probably worth a try on the float for the most fun.

I think float fishing in this weather might be a bit ollocks, the wind is going to pick up tonight, thanks for the advice anyway.

Ahh, I\'d been replying before you editted to say you were going tonite... no, i don\'t think you\'d have much success trying to throw a float around if the wind is picking up....

I had loads of whiting, eels, and coddling to3lb onfriday night the otherside of the river from smiths, but the tides aren\'t right for the river tonight, so I thought a rock mark like St Marys might fish well.

I have had some good catches of 20 wrasse plus in a session from the north east coast but i hate to do this...i wont post it as i would hate to see kids and others catching and killing them so if anyone wants to know just email me on [email protected] it\'s safer than posting on a open site.
