lol. It's a Rockling mate :D

Pretty sure you can fish St Marys throughout the tide but for a while over high water you will be stuck on there as the causeway will be flooded and with the currents its not safe to try to wade off

looks like a big rockling to me haha!

do you know how long you would be stuck for?

Ive waded on and off on neep tide when the seas flat but wudnt like to try at any other time.ifyou were to stay on youd be stuck on for about an hour eather dide of high water depending on the size of the tide.hope this helps mate.

I waded off a few weeks back tides were 4.9m with 30 minutes to go before high water and it didn't even reach my knees. Will be cut off around 1hour either side of high water

Cheers !

What's the bottom like off st Mary's ? Do you lose much gear ?

All heavy ground around St Mary's, lots of kelp (especially north side in Crisps) so be prepared to lose some gear. Simple one hook flappers or if fishing the front by the pillar a single clipped rig with rotten bottoms (don't bother with pennel hooks as you'll be forever fastening in the kelp).

Gary :)
