fished st marys yellow can yesterday only 10 cod but good quality fish best 8lb. season looks to be kicking in. quite a few good pouting as well, but lots of dans everywhere.

Excellent result. 10 fish up to 8lb, well done. Saw the sea this morning, flat and calm, two days in a row and me with a knackered back. Friday if the same, i'll be out, even in pain

how far is the yellow can from the shore? could i get there in a yak?

I'm sure some of the Yak lads launch from the boat house at the top of whitley beach and head out to the can mate.

St-Marys is a hellish spot as ive caught some good fish there but ive lost a lot rigs leads and whatever but always go back so well done on your catch good luck in the future.

It's just over a mile mate if you go from the boat station park your car up the top and head down the ramp

seen lads there in yaks, but care should be taken if wind comes up. forcast very light winds sat, sun mon tues.rag, mussel prawns from asda all good bait. good luck to anyone going.
