Stairway to hell !!!

I went for a nice walk along parton beach yesterday, it was blowing a horrible W/SW and was bitterly cold but I wanted to see this so called stairway to heaven. I had my camera with me and i took some pics of the stairway and also at the damage to the legs of the pier.

Heres a coiple for ya . . . . . . . . .

Honest you must have something wrong with you if you even consider fishing the jetty, I think a big storm would have it over now just hope there isnt any anglers on her when she finally gives in.

Good photos mate. Looks like it is ready to collapse. I can't understand why anybody would risk their lives to catch fish. I certainly won't anyway

The pier is in a really bad state, i posted a similar thread on WSF, because some people I have talked to seem to think the jetty is safe as houses, and these pics show that it isnt.

There has been to many anglers lost over the last 2 years i hope none are lost through the stupidity of trying to fish steetly, the old girls days are numbered.

I agree i think the jetty has one good storm left in it, and it willl come down then its a rescue job for anyone on it at the time.

Hopefully no one willl be on after your post.

HOLY SH!T That looks lethal, anyone venturing on there must have a death wish! Unfortunately there is people out there who risk their own live and waste precious emergency services time that could be better spent else where! We all take risks every day, whatever we do, but thats just insane heading out onto that thing!! Im surprised a plan hasn't been devised to bring it down anytime soon!

Could'nt we try and get all the chavs and other f***wits on it for when it goes, would be such a pointless waste otherwise.

But in all seriousness that looks terrifying, I would'nt feel safe standing next to it in a breeze let alone going on it. Hopefully people will heed your warning and stay away from it, cracking post.

the photos whilst excellent just make me sad , it's the end of one of the best sea angling marks in the country, fished it for many years with some great memories and fantastic sessions what a shame but you would't get me up them steps for anything. what a shame.

best sesh on the jetty 13 cod to 9and a half lbs.
best fishing, over 60 anglers fishing one night and every one had cod.
