Perhaps we need the law clarified, if I was to go plodging too deep and left the beach with a welly full, could I be prosecuted?

those people who come on here and throw insults at the police, i would suggest do so because they have at some point fallen foul of the law. that is to say they have, or are closely related to someone who has criminal convictions! personally i think those who do that are c**ts and t**ts and dont have two brain cells to rub together!! you would be the first to shout for a cop if you needed help wouldnt you?? balance re-dressed rant over!!

Balanced!!

You're having a laugh. I was the first one on here to call the officer (if true) a t**t, and imo he is (if true)

As for you thinking I've been in trouble with the police because I call this officer (if true), well you could be right. I have, in 42 years, collected 3 points for speeding, and that was last year. As you can see, I'm a hardened criminal.

For your information, 2 of my mates are in the police, and I was telling one of them about this story. Do you know what he said? "What a p***k"

So before you get round to labelling me a t**t or a c***, and saying I haven't got 2 brain cells to rub together, take a deep breath and look in the mirror.

Jeepa`s - this thread is getting a bit personal - over what ?? a bit sea water - i think it is a crock of $hit to be honest - lets look at it another way - why would Plod put himself in a position to riducule himself within his circle - and unless he was first day in the Job would surely know that there wouldnt be a court in the land that would pass sentance - how do power stations use water for cooling - is it metered in and metered back out ,and any missing gets paid for ,i dont think so

like i said ealier - it sounds a right crock

Does anybody really believe this actually happened?. It's got urban legend written all over it. What next : ufo's crashing into wind turbines ?

it was a U.F.O didnt you see the news
as for the coppers well some are good some are bad same in all occupations :D

Surely its not April 1st already, you know what, this year has flown by.

I must borrow at least 100 gallon per week on average, i say borrow because when the worms are finished using it i flush it down the drain which leads back to the sea, so it is returned.

I think someone is having a laugh, and i have to say i wish i had thought of it.

As for the police, then i have nothing but respect for them even though there is one or two who can be a bit dodgy but on the whole they do a good job.

stealing sea water

have the police got nothing better to do these days-i know a lad that gets in the boat club where i am steward he is in the river police on the tyne i will ask him what rule that comes under-but me personaly just think he was being a t**t ;);)

i hope that this is a wind up, i keep marine fish, im on a fair few forums and a fair few of the lads collect sea water for thier tanks, as has been said the waste water is put down the drains so goes back to the sea anyway, people collect rain water, which also ends up in the sea so are they pinching it ??, no ifs or buts like in every other job in the world there are jobs worths, would be interesting if this was for real what the cps would make of it, or even the booking officer at the local nick, possibly even be worth refusing to accept a caution to see just how far it would be taken, getting the local newspapers and councilors to support you as well, i know if i can find a decent area to collect clean water from i will be removing around 30-40 gallons every month or so

perhaps time to log how much water your household heaves away and recollect it for your own use from the beach :p

Like I said earlier. Before we all fall out ova this daft thread, yea we all got opinions about each other and occupations, and as stated, Yea we have good/bad in all occupations, but please dont tar us all, with the same brush as the bad ones. Can I recommend that this Post be ended or even removed, and when I find out the truth of the matter, then I will post what ACTUALLY HAPPENED on the day/night in question.
I know for a certain fact, that the Durham Police have a good relationship with the Anglers of Seaham, and only a few weeks ago, I directed some Anglers from Newcastle down onto the Prom with their vehicle, stating that it would be safer there. Night time is no problem, its just during the day that complaints arise, from the dog walkers and familys, so not advisable to drive onto the prom..

Even if the comments made were true I find it amazing that on websites like this people are very quick to slag each other off and go from DEFCON 1 to DEFCON 999 (police joke hahaha) because they are at the ends of a keyboard. If the same people were on the end of a pier or beach drowning some worms (no that is not cruelty to animals) I bet the conversation would be a lot more civil and a good night would be had by all. So come on everyone, group hug and get at those Parking Wardens instead (only kidding).

I think the police are great especialy the dog handlers.

why do people do that then? you have taken offence to those words being used and i am not allowed to is that right? there was clearly some angst going on throwing insults like that around only serves to make the situation worse. i had a rant as my p*ss was boiling. they were simply the words used used earlier in the thread thats it. as for your mates well i wonder what they will do next time someone calls them a c**t at work, ive got a fair idea. things can easily be misinterpreted when read like this. i have no more to say on the this thread i,m off to steal some sea water!!
