Just got in after a very wind swept night on the pier. The wind was that strong you couldn't tell if you got bites or not.
The pier was empty for the first 90 mins then 2 lads turned up, but between us there was only 2 rockling landed and both were no bigger then 6 inches but both were full as a gun.
One sad thing was the sight of a dead porpoise that had been dragged up to near the horseshoe tunnel and laid behind the blocks.

Sounds like a tough sesh Griff. Just bought some flattie rigs with beads and sequins but have a feeling i will be up fly fishing on Monday at Derwent reservoir. Might come down to Pool on Wed or Thurs and have a go for a bass or flatties.
