Well lads went down again with my mate Ian.
Sea was big with a lovely swell. Unfortunatly the end fished badly. Lots of small coaley and whitey. Ian took an early lead on his 1 o hooks. 4-0.
After an hour i,d had enough and we moved down to the surf and fished from the pier into this. Straight away hit a schoolie.

well 3 of them in fact.
The surf was looking good and a few of the dudes turned up-rather them than me.

All in all a good day but the 50 cod challenge still stays at 50-mind i,m re-charging my headlight now and thinking about a re-visit to the Hall beach tonight-we,ll see.
ps all the fish went back.
Mick.

Mick at least u caught like meh lol am still on 48 lol m8s caught 2 codling and ova 35 but i didnt catch any codlings this week.. nice to sea the bass playin aboot:D

thought twice about putting pics on of baby bass but to be honest the full shore from crimdon to the twin steps is a good spot for bass-long sandy beaches that the bass love with the surf. It took a good couple of hours to catch my three.
I also had a novel way of reintroducing the babies. I put one metal gripper spike from my wieght into the open gill and out of the mouth and lowered down so they were,nt doing the 100 feet freefall dive.
Maybe they might come back at 5lb for me.
That would be worth 50 cod.
mick.

nice one on the Bass Mick - I caught my first N/E schoolie Bass the other week and it seems they're on the increase round these parts...my guess is that in a couple of years we'll start getting reports of more decent size Bass caught from our beaches

not too impressed with you adding another 7 months onto the Gregorian Calendar though - was looking forward to the end of this year in 2 months time not 7! ;):D
