Hello lads just in. Was gonna go to Seaham but thought i would leave this till next week. Decided on Steetly. Thought i,d fish deep water. About 1/4 mile off the pier was Flamer 11. Lads looked to be struggling.
It ended up being a scratching day but i enjoyed myself.
Some good crack with some lads from Thornley.
Sea really picked up as the night wore on. Some big swells rolling in. Thought there might be a cod about so loaded up with squid. Ended up near the the old gate-some right stirring up with rollers crashing-but nowt caught.
Whities and flats were the order of the day. One lad did come down to see how i was doing off the end-he told me he had just dropped a decent cod.
I will be surprised if nowt throws up with the size of the swell.
