Well lads like a tit i went fishing today. Had the pier to myself.

Got to the Bell end corner and it was very windy. Baited up and out it went.

Fished two rods again with big baits-but should have followed my instincts. Water flat with a powerful westerly wind and sea looked clear.
Caught this little fella then packed up after a couple of hours. Crabs were hammering the bait.

Thats it till this Friday when we have our little compo.

mick, the steetly only fishes during the winter months when the wind is northerly, you know that as much as i do, still all credit to you, you give it a bash and got bags of fresh air lol.ps once this bloody wind changes direction i think there should be some good sized fish off the jetty.

cracking fish mick weldone was ya trace all tangled up there probs been a big cod chasing it and its swam like hell to get out the way

I know what you mean Paul but my mate once got a cod off the end when the sea was a flat as a pancake.

Ya cannit catch it if youre not there mate, well done on getting out and having a go, and it wasnt a blank even better.
