Hello lads just in. Lovely sea running today-thought it was the day for the "big one" - drop net at the ready.
Should,nt have really took the net -no cod at all:(:).
Never mind though there was some big whities biting :)my mate Ian pulled in over 20 good sizes and kept about 10.Also some nice flatties which were returned.
I pulled in about 10 whities and kept one big one.(filleted and in the freezer now).
All in all a very good day but disappointed no big cod about.

Mick.

Hey mike brilliant all the same.

Still alot of peeps blanking at the mo

I think its cos you and your mate is catching all the stragglers LOL :D

Unlucky mate, after reading about all the inclement weather conditions and rough seas i though there may be a few about by now!!

with the recent wave action stirring the sea floor i would have hoped to see more people posting a good session

maybe the headline should be changed to BEST BLANKING IN 50 YEARS :D

Better than blanking Mick m8 good sport. thought there might of been a canny run of Codling after the big seas but things have been quiet, as i was ready to leave after my sesh on the rocks Yesterday about 5-30pm a lad was getting ready to go along the north pier at Cambois his mates had been fishing early hours along there and had 4 cod bigest 6lb i saw them coming off about the pier about 3pm.

thats the kind of thing you need to bag up in a match.

the conditions were ideal on tuesday night for our comp, sea just starting to tail off.

no cod were caught and the comp money went to a guy with a 14oz plaice!

i was expecting a few nice fish and maybe a decent 1 in there as well.
