Hello lads made me mind up and went to Steetly. 12pm-6:30 pm. Used rag.Razer and squid. Some nice rollers coming in but alas no big cod-in fact no cod at all. Scraped a couple of fish. The coalie still had a trace in its mouth from an earlier angler. Released and lived to fight another day.

Caught a big whitie off the end just before i went and gave it to one of the other lads fishing.Walked up and down today trying the surf then going back on the end. Slipped once and went ar-e over t-t.
All in all a poor day. Saying that i caught 3 flatties,one whitie and the coalie so it could have been worse. This is one of the smaller flats.

Kept looking at the surf and thinking about the what the blast beach would have been like up at Seaham. Might have a pop down next Sunday.
Oh and i popped into the hospital to see my old fella before the journey home.

You did better than me at Seaham today. Only a couple of small whities. Walked along the pier and no cod at all. Tried all combinations of bait. Will catch up with you eventually.

How do you think the blast beach would have fished-fancied a look down instead of steetly.

. . . always the same Mick, you pick a spot and then wonder what the other spots would fish like .lol

Think the hall or pier would be a better bet , especially if you fishing at night.
