fished the jetty from 12 noon till 7 in the evening' about 20 rods out and big sea running it was also blowing a gale. the actual fishing was crap did't see one fish get pulled in all day, last cast managed to get a whiting, wow wee, bait wasted runnydown rag and squid.

no you did't miss anything mick, unless you like sitting in the freezing cold with a constant gale foce south easterly blasting at you non stop for 7 hours ,and no bites, it was fishing heaven.[ i don't think]

3 of us fished there last night (saturday) very stong winds not a bite between us but did see one lad get 2 fish they weren't weighed but they were over 4lb each easily.

i was on the drum end, left at 1am. had 6 whiting, lad to the left had two like you say. both around 4 lb

still a bit early i say, swells are getting bigger as we speak
