Well with great weather forecast and a flat sea the boat gear was taken back on the boat and off myself and pondlife went at 7am.

1st stop for the mackerel and not many showing as to be expected, so with 4 in the hold we hit a few wrecks, very slow and the fish made us work for it but in the end when the wind dropped and the drift improved we started picking up a fish every other drift.

So a cracking day at sea and a few fish to boot.

My catch was 6 ling with 3 of them being between 8 and 9lb
2 codling
2 scotties
Few mackerel.

Pondlife had the same speciew sother than the codling but he added whiting to the list.

Nice day in the sun, quick meal then off to town for a stag party :)

Well done-just got all of my gear ready for tomorrow. Tried ringing Duggie but no reply.still he hasn,t rang to say its off-so up early and out to craster tomorrow.

We had a party out today but the sport was patchy. Best ling was 15lb with the biggest cod 9.5lb. Probably 3 ling for every 1 cod. Our skipper Stevie worked one wreck after another but they only produced odd fish. Conditions near perfect. But that's why it's called fishing and not catching.

Yer it was hard ging as some wrecks seemed void of fish, think we tried 8-9 wrecks with only 3 of them having any fish on.

Still was a nice day in the sun and the stamp of fish was better, wont be long until its April time and we all talking about new tactics and wnating to beat PB and so on's.
