That window and 3 weeks lack of fishing ws the only thing that gets me up at that time, poor Graham was counting ling by 7am and Dave yarned so many times he caught every fly in the air.
It was a nice change and a nice day but 6am is as soon as i will be out in future unless the lack of fishing gets to me again.
I'm with Richy on the departure time. The 04:30 departure yesterday was a one of I hope! Pleeeease Say It Was. 06:00 is fine who needs to be at the piers just to see the bloody sun coming up.
no romance in your soul eh Graham? fishing all about lunkers and penis extensions?

being serious again for a moment, our early morning exploits are not simply to feel the pain of the early day but because time and time again (like joostan above) we find that our best catch period of the day is the first 3 hours, generally as the sun is rising and more so if the tide is on the flood.
